Description

The following elements are used for the making of Gandharvahasthadi Kashyam or Kwatham: Gandharvahastha (Ricinus communis), Hutasha (plumbago zeylanica), Vishwa (Zingiber officinale) Chiravilwa/ Chirabilva (Holoptelea integrifolia), Punarava (Boerhaavia diffusa), Pathya (Terminalia chebula), Bhumitala (Phyllanthus niruri), Yavasa (Alhagi Pseudalhagi). The dose of an adult person of this medicine are as follows: Kashyam: 10-15 ml of medicine have to be diluted with 30-45 ml of warm water. You have to take it 2-3 times a day. It is better to consult your doctor. The dosage varies with the age of the person. You have to take this medicine on empty stomach ½ an hour to ¾ hour before food. A little amount of jaggery and a pinch of rock salt must be added and mixed it very well before taking the medicine. You should take it on early morning at 6am and in the evening around 6pm. Gandharvahasthadi Tailam which is a medicated castor oil or you can also take plain castor oil may to add it with the Kashyam to enhance its effect.
