PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Cheriya Chandanadi Thailam is a classical Ayurvedic oil referenced in Yoga Ratnakara (Rajayakshma Chikitsa) and Sahasrayoga (Tailayoga 30), traditionally used both externally and internally. Externally, it is commonly applied as a head oil or full‑body massage oil for hair‑related concerns, burning sensation in the head and body, and after sun exposure or sunstroke‑like discomfort.

Under Ayurvedic supervision, it may also be used as nasal drops or in measured internal doses, in contexts such as heat‑ and bleeding‑related Pitta imbalances described in classical texts. The oil is regarded as a coolant and Pitta‑pacifying formulation for balancing excess body heat, thanks to its sesame‑oil base, high water content and herbs like Bala, Dhatri (Amla), Chandana, Sariva, Ikshu, Kusha, Ashoka, Priyala, Valka and Padmaka, which together contribute to its body‑cooling and soothing profile.

  • Natural coolant oil
  • Relieves burning sensation
  • Applied as a hair oil
  • Best for a body massage

Four months ago, I almost got a heat stroke while coming back from school and was barely breathing, after sitting on the floor for a while my father took out this oil and started massaging my head, I even took some and rubbed it on my body because it felt cool. Can't forget that day, we need longer summer vacations man.
